Privacy Policy

This policy explains how personal data is handled when you use the Clauset app, visit tryclauset.com, contact Clauset, or access a private Clauset workspace.

1. Who is responsible for your data?

Clauset is currently operated as an independent project in Sweden and is responsible for the processing described in this policy. You can contact Clauset at support@tryclauset.com or through the contact form on the website.

2. Data we collect

In the app, we process the account and profile information you provide, your saved products and outfits, and the actions required to deliver features you choose to use. We also process limited first-party product analytics, such as app sessions, Daily Edit completion, product impressions, views, saves and retailer clicks. Product analytics is enabled by default, is not sold, and can be disabled in Privacy & Data.

Optional trend intelligence may use broad style and shopping-intent signals to produce crowd-level insights. Optional advertising measurement may include eligible interactions with clearly attributed direct Clauset placements. These optional purposes are disabled until you actively enable them. Clauset does not provide advertisers with user identities, individual profiles, raw searches or individual activity.

When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, selected reason for contacting us, your message, and the date and time of your submission. We also process limited technical information, including your IP address and CAPTCHA verification data, to protect the form against spam and abuse.

For invited partner accounts, we process the account email, authentication identifiers, company and access-role information, and the session data needed to keep the partner signed in securely.

We do not use the contact form to subscribe you to marketing communications. This website does not currently use advertising or analytics trackers.

The private partner workspace may display totals calculated from privacy-protected activity in the Clauset app. These totals are fetched by the website server and only include aggregate groups that meet a minimum privacy threshold. The workspace does not expose individual app-user profiles or raw activity.

3. Why we process your data

We process account data and feature content to provide the service you request. We process limited first-party product analytics based on our legitimate interest in understanding reliability, engagement and product performance, subject to data minimisation, short retention and your right to object. We use consent for optional trend-intelligence signals and optional direct-advertising measurement. You can change either choice at any time without losing access to the core app.

We process contact details and correspondence to respond to enquiries and potential partnership requests. We process invited workspace data to provide and secure the requested workspace. We process technical and CAPTCHA data based on our legitimate interest in securing the website and preventing spam, fraud, and misuse.

4. Service providers

We use Supabase for app data, authentication and protected aggregate reporting, Vercel to host the website, Cloudflare Turnstile to detect automated abuse, and Resend to deliver contact-form emails. These providers process limited personal data on our behalf or as described in their own privacy documentation. Data may be processed outside the EU/EEA where the provider uses an applicable legal transfer mechanism, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Retention

Product analytics and optional insight signals are designed to expire after 90 days. Account content is normally retained while your account is active or until you delete it, subject to legal and security requirements. Contact messages are normally deleted no later than 12 months after the enquiry has been resolved. Our providers may retain limited technical records according to their documented retention periods.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

The public website does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. Private workspaces use strictly necessary Supabase authentication cookies to maintain a secure signed-in session. Cloudflare Turnstile may use strictly necessary cookies or similar browser storage to distinguish people from automated traffic and protect the form. The Clauset app does not use third-party cross-app advertising identifiers for the measurement described above.

7. Your rights

Under applicable data-protection law, you may have the right to request access to, correction or deletion of your data, restriction of processing, or to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also have a right to data portability where applicable. Consent can be withdrawn at any time in the app under Privacy & Data. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

To exercise a right, email support@tryclauset.com or use the website contact form and select “General question.” We may need to verify your identity before responding. You can also lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY) at imy.se.

8. Security and changes

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet transmission is completely secure. We may update this policy when the website, providers, or legal requirements change. The latest version will always appear on this page with its revision date.
